Manchester City Plans to Sign Barcelona Defender

According to the report, the potential deal could be valued at 80 million euros, given the English club’s management’s admiration for Koundé’s versatility and ability to play in multiple defensive positions, making him perfectly suited to the style of play at Etihad Stadium.
The source indicated that Barcelona, which is undergoing a financial restructuring phase, might find it difficult to reject an offer close to its economic demands, even though the 27-year-old defender is an essential element in coach Hans Flick’s plans.
The report explained that Manchester City is considering making an initial offer of 50 million euros, while Barcelona insists on receiving 80 million euros to agree to sell the player, who has extensive experience after playing more than 150 official matches with Barcelona, in addition to his international presence with the French national team.
The source added that interest in signing Koundé is not limited to Manchester City alone, as other major English clubs such as Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United are also monitoring the player’s situation, which could intensify the competition during the upcoming summer transfer window.
