Palmeiras Agrees with Wolverhampton to Sign John Arias

Sports journalist Ben Jacobs stated today that Brazilian club Palmeiras has reached an agreement with English club Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Colombian winger John Arias for 25 million euros. It is expected that the player will travel to Brazil next week to complete the medical examination and sign the official contract.

Arias, 28 years old, will return to Brazil after a brief stint in the English Premier League, having previously shone with Fluminense before his move to Wolverhampton in the summer of 2025.

The journalist reported that Arias is characterized by speed and technical skills, and he can play as a right winger and sometimes in the attacking midfield or left wing, making him a strong addition to Palmeiras’ squad in preparation for local and continental competitions.

The Brazilian club is aiming through the deal to strengthen their attacking line in preparation for the new season, especially in the Brazilian League and the Copa Libertadores, expecting Arias to be one of the team’s standout players in the coming seasons.
