Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, expressed his satisfaction with his team’s recent performances, emphasizing that early scoring gives the team a clear advantage during matches, while also highlighting the team’s tactical flexibility and ability to play in different ways.

Simeone said: “There were important things, the team delivers great matches, and the goal always puts you in a better position within the game. In the second half, we played with the same intent, we need to continue and get some rest, especially since the Sunday match is coming.”

He added: “We are not bound to just one style of play; the team is ready to play in different styles depending on the players participating in each match.”

Regarding Ademola Lookman, Simeone said: “He is a mature player and is 28 years old, he came to help us, and we hope to help him develop as well. He has different characteristics from our players, and this will make us better.”

About Pablo Barrios’ injury, he explained: “He is a pivotal player in the midfield and very important to us, we always try to protect him as much as possible, but today he got injured.”
