Al-Ahli Defeats Al-Hazm and Temporarily Rises to Second Place in the Roshan League

Al-Ahli club temporarily regained its position in second place in the Saudi Roshan League after defeating Al-Hazm with two unanswered goals in the match held at Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah, as part of the 21st round of competitions.

The match was balanced during the first half, as neither team was able to score, ending the first half in a goalless draw between Al-Ahli and Al-Hazm, amidst scattered attempts from both sides.

Englishman Ivan Toney scored the first goal for Al-Ahli in the 58th minute, following a remarkable follow-up of the ball inside the penalty area, granting his team the lead at a crucial time in the match.

Goalkeeper Sultan Tankir added the second goal through a defensive error by Al-Hazm in the 76th minute, confirming Al-Ahli’s lead and securing the three points with relative ease.

With this victory, Al-Ahli’s tally rose to 47 points, temporarily occupying second place, one point ahead of Al-Nassr, who will face Al-Ittihad tomorrow, while Al-Hazm’s tally remained at 21 points in twelfth place.

Al-Ahli’s victory comes after a goalless draw with Al-Hilal in the previous round, which restored the team’s confidence before the upcoming match against Al-Nassr in the battle for top positions in the league.
