The Saudi national team has chosen the city of Austin in the state of Texas, USA, as the main headquarters for their camp during their participation in the 2026 World Cup finals.

The decision by Al-Akhdar came after an extensive technical and logistical evaluation process, which included field visits and an assessment of the readiness of sports facilities and the quality of available training amenities.

The Saudi national team confirmed that the favorable climatic conditions were among the main factors that tipped the balance in favor of Austin, as they provide an environment that helps maintain physical readiness.

He pointed out that the city’s geographical location is an important advantage, given its proximity to the cities hosting the national team’s matches, which reduces travel burdens and saves time and effort.

The selection of the camp location is part of a comprehensive preparation plan aimed at creating a stable and motivating environment for both the technical and administrative staff throughout the tournament.

Through this selection, the Green Team aims to implement its training and qualification programs according to the highest standards, while enhancing the players’ mental and physical readiness.

The Saudi national team is participating in the 2026 World Cup in Group H, which includes Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde, during the tournament running from June 11 to July 19.
