But who are the most valuable pairs of brothers currently playing? Here at Transfermarkt, we’ve compiled a list of the top 30 most valuable pairs, and it makes for some fascinating reading. Many top players you may not have even realised had a brother who is a footballer crop up on the list. Four pairs even accumulate a combined market value of €100 million or more.

Kylian and Ethan Mbappé – combined market value – €209m: World superstar Kylian Mbappé (Market value: €200m) is the joint most valuable player on the planet and has been on fire for Real Madrid this season. But he’s not the only Mbappé in the game. His younger brother, Ethan Mbappé (Mv: €9m) joined Lille in 2024, and the 19-year-old winger has already played scored three goals in 11 Ligue 1 matches this season.
2. Jude and Jobe Bellingham – combined market value – €185m: Jude Bellingham (market value: €160m) has taken the footballing world by storm since his €103m move to Real Madrid in 2023, scoring 23 goals in just 39 games in La Liga and the Champions League in his first season in Spain. However, his lesser well-known brother, Jobe Bellingham (Mv: €25m), two years Jude’s junior, joined Borussia Dortmund from Sunderland in the summer and is also making a name for himself.
3. Désiré & Guela Doué – combined market value – €108m: Next on the list are the young French siblings of Désiré Doué and Guela Doué. The former shone for PSG as they won the Champions League last season after his big money move form Rennes and now has a market value of €90m. The latter, Désiré’s older brother, is a 23-year-old right-back for Strasbourg and has a market value of €18m.

4. Marcus and Khéphren Thuram – combined market value – €100m: What a footballing family. Former defender Lilian Thuram remains France most capped player of all-time and now has two sons making their mark in the game. Marcus Thuram (€60m) is enjoying life at Inter Milan. His younger brother Khéphren Thuram (Mv: €40m) moved from Nice to fellow Italian giants Juventus in a €20.6m deal in 2024.
5. Jurrien & Quinten Timber – combined market value – €95m: The first twins on the list. Jurrien Timber (Mv: €70m) suffered heartbreak on his Arsenal debut season, tearing his ACL, but has since comeback and proved himself to be one of the best full-backs in the world. His twin brother Quinten Timber (Mv: €25m) is now playing in Ligue 1 with Marseille after a January move from Eredivisie side Feyenoord.

Alexis and Kevin Mac Allister – combined market value – €94m: Argentine World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister (Mv: €85m) has made a big impact at Anfield following his move from Brighton and has been used across various roles in the Reds’ midfield. He actually faced his younger brother Kevin Mac Allister (Mv: €9m) in the Europa League when Liverpool faced Belgian outfit Union SG in the group stages in 2024. Kevin is a centre-half by trade and has been a regular in the Belgian league.

Luis and Jesùs Díaz – combined market value – €70.1m: Luis Díaz (Mv: €70m) has become one of the most feared wingers in Europe and traded Premier League champions Liverpool for Bundesliga holders Bayern Munich in the summer in a €75m move. However, you may not have known he has a younger 21-year old brother playing back in Colombia by the name of Jesús Díaz (Mv: €100k) playing for Independiente Yumbo.

Bradley and Malcolm Barcola – combined market value – €70.1m: Many are aware of the talent of PSG winger Bradley Barcola – he has a current market value of €70m and played a big role in the French side’s success last season. However, he has an older brother, Malcolm Barcola, who is actually a goalkeeper and plays for Ittihad Tanger in the Moroccan league – he has a market value of just €50k.
9. Nico and Iñaki Williams – combined market value – €70m: Two brothers who represent the same club but different nations. Iñaki Williams (Mv: €10m) has been a regular up front, scoring goals for Athletic Club for over 10 seasons now, and back in 2022 decided to represent Ghana at international level. His younger brother Nico Williams (Mv: €60m) has become one of the brightest young wingers in Europe and has been linked with a move to many Premier League clubs, after shining for Spain in their Euros triumph in 2024.
10. Tijjani & Eliano Reijnders – combined market value – €65.6m: Despite a slight recent stagnation, Tijjani Reijnders has started life at Manchester City pretty strongly following his summer move from AC MIlan – he has a current market value of €65m. His younger brother Eliano Reijnders actually plays in Indonesia and for Indonesia, whom Tijjani was also eligible to represent but chose the Netherlands. Winger Eliano has a market value of €600k.
