Will Saud Abdulhamid Return to the Saudi League? Player’s Agent Responds

Rumors escalated in the winter market, which closed on February 2, about the possibility of Saud Abdulhamid returning to the Saudi league, with his name being linked to Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr clubs.
Al-Sufai explained, during his appearance on the program ‘Our Club’, that the player prefers to continue his professional career in Europe currently, considering this phase crucial for his technical development and international continuity.
He added that many of the circulated stories are inaccurate, noting that Saud was spending his vacation in Riyadh and discussed with him the opportunities to secure a European offer that guarantees him consistent playing time in preparation for the World Cup.
He pointed out that the player received several European offers, most notably from Rayo Vallecano and Deportivo La Coruña, but he preferred to focus on his current experience, before later expressing concern about limited participation.
He confirmed that the sporting director of Lens emphasized Saud Abdulhamid’s importance within the team and informed him that he would get more opportunities to participate in the coming period.
Al-Sufai stated that Al-Hilal made a verbal offer to loan the player only, after rejecting the idea of a permanent transfer, but Lens club categorically rejected the offer.
He explained that Roma’s management does not mind the player’s return provided there are no financial obligations if the loan is terminated, while Lens expressed a desire to activate the purchase clause in the future.
The player’s agent concluded his remarks by denying the rumors about Cristiano Ronaldo contacting Saud Abdulhamid to persuade him to join Al-Nassr, confirming that these reports are baseless.
