Uncertainty Surrounds Ronaldo’s Status Before Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad Clasico

The situation surrounding Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nassr, is shrouded in uncertainty regarding his participation in the anticipated match against Al-Ittihad, as part of the 21st round of the Saudi Pro League, scheduled for Friday, February 6.

Al-Nassr hosts its counterpart Al-Ittihad in a fiery classic match, amidst great anticipation from fans, given the importance of the game in the competition for the top of the league, especially with the close points between the leading teams.

The Saudi newspaper “Al-Riyadiyah” reported that Ronaldo did not attend the Al-Nassr club headquarters on Tuesday, along with the players who did not participate in the last match against Al-Riyadh. It noted that his position on playing against Al-Ittihad will be determined during the training session scheduled for Wednesday, should he attend.

Ronaldo missed the Al-Nassr match against Al-Riyadh in protest against the team’s failure to secure the required signings during the winter transfer window. The Portuguese star, along with coach Jorge Jesus, feels frustrated due to the unmet technical demands to strengthen the team’s lineup.
