New Disputes Looming at Real Madrid

Journalist Anton Meana revealed signs of a new crisis emerging within Real Madrid, following technical and tactical decisions that have upset several players and led to tension in the relationship with the coaching staff led by coach Álvaro Arbeloa.

According to Miana, one of the main reasons for the disagreement was coach Álvaro Arbeloa’s decision not to include Dani Ceballos in the match against Benfica, opting instead for player Cistero, which raised questions in the locker room.

The journalist explained that a group of players were surprised by Ceballos’ absence from playing minutes in Lisbon and directly informed the coach of their dissatisfaction with this decision.

Sistero had participated as a substitute in the match that Real Madrid lost to Benfica with a score of 4-2, a defeat that forced the team to play in the playoff to qualify for the round of 16 of the tournament. Despite the criticism, Arbeloa defended his choice, asserting that the decision was purely “technical.”

These developments bring back to the forefront the discussion about the strained relationship between some Real Madrid players and former coach Xabi Alonso, reinforcing reports that the issues within the club go beyond just the coaches.
