Saudi Football Federation Announces Early Preparatory Program for the Green Falcons in Preparation for the World Cup

The Saudi national team is set to implement an early preparation program in anticipation of participating in the 2026 World Cup finals, as part of a comprehensive vision aimed at enhancing technical and physical readiness before the global event.

The program relies on an institutional methodology based on full coordination with clubs, unifying technical, medical, and fitness efforts to serve the player’s interests and support the national team’s goals in the upcoming phase.

The first step included officially addressing the Saudi Roshan League clubs, with an initial list of 80 players being approved. These players are to be included in a comprehensive monitoring system that covers technical, physical, and medical aspects.

The technical and administrative teams activated direct communication channels with the relevant departments in the clubs, in addition to field monitoring of players’ participation in the league and the King’s Cup to ensure a comprehensive and continuous evaluation.

The technical and medical teams focus on regularly monitoring the fitness levels of the players, aligning physical programs according to preparation requirements, and managing workloads to suit the match schedule.

The medical team also implements an advanced analytical program that includes sleep and nutrition indicators, fat percentage, and muscle composition to build an accurate database that supports technical decisions.

In the same context, performance tracking device data is analyzed in coordination with clubs, with studies on injury and recovery reports, alongside utilizing the March break to monitor the Green Group teams and analyze competitors.
