Barcelona Squad for the Match Against Albacete in the Spanish King’s Cup

This morning, German coach Hans Flick revealed the list of Barcelona players called up for the match against Albacete, scheduled for this evening as part of the Spanish King’s Cup. The Catalan team, the defending champion, aims to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

The list saw the absence of four players due to injury, led by Raphinha, whom the coaching staff preferred to rest as a precautionary measure after he suffered from an overload in the adductor muscle of his right leg during the last match against Elche in the Spanish league. This is in addition to the known absences of Gavi, Pedri, and Andreas Christensen.

On the other hand, Flick confirmed Kounde’s readiness, who will travel with the team despite being substituted in the final minutes of the match against Elche. The squad also includes players from the reserve team, namely goalkeeper Diego Cochin and midfielder Tommy Marquez.

Barcelona will be visiting Albacete, a second division club that has previously eliminated both Celta Vigo and Real Madrid at the Carlos Belmonte Stadium in the current edition of the tournament, which increases the difficulty of the anticipated match.

The list for Barcelona’s squad to face Albacete in the Copa del Rey is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Juan Garcia – Diego Cochin – Wojciech Szczęsny.

Defense line: João Cancelo – Alejandro Balde – Ronald Araújo – Pau Cubarsi – Gerard Martin – Koundé – Eric García.

Midfield: Fermín López – Marc Casadó – Dani Olmo – Frenkie de Jong – Marc Bernal – Tomy Márquez.

Attack: Ferran Torres – Lewandowski – Lamine Yamal – Marcus Rashford – Roony Bardghji.
